Phil Beale, former head of marketing at Morley Fund Management, always had a taste for adventure. Now he is making a meal of it.

Pioneer Expeditions, whose directors are Beale and Adrian Gray, has announced plans to organise expeditions for people who want to visit offbeat locations.

They can trek round the Palawan region of the Philippines; sail along Tanzania’s Rufiji River, traverse Madagascar or flog across Greenland.
