Economy & Tourism
Agriculture provides a livelihood for 85% of the population. Mineral deposits, including oil, copper, and gold, account for 72% of export earnings. The country also has a notable coffee industry and other crops include cocoa, oil palm and tea.

Language
Papua New Guinea has over 800 indigenous languages and Enga is the most widely spoken. English is the official language of government and education, although not generally spoken.

Approx 96% of the population are Christian
