Manuel Antonio National Park- The small area of 16 kilometres became a National Park in 1972. In order to avoid any important damages on the natural fauna and flora of the Park, a quota system had been applied to the number of entry per day. Indeed, even this is not a large park; it contains numerous different species of plants and animals. Birds as the Blue-gray tanager or the Great-tailed grackle; mammals such as capuchin monkeys, sloth, squirrel monkey or hawler monkey; aquatic species like spotted dolphin, bottlenose dolphin or humpback whale can be seen in this remote area.
