Pioneer Expeditions organises bespoke school expeditions to Madagascar, Borneo and Costa Rica. We help schools achieve their ambitions through travel, community, environmental projects, adventure and in doing so deliver life enhancing experiences. We strongly believe that education is more than just academic: our trips focus on developing intercultural knowledge and understanding, educating in a safe and ethical way and building relationships. We aim at opening minds, developing an adventurous spirit, building personality and increasing general and specific knowledge.
Our Expeditions
We organise two-to-three week discovery trips for secondary schools.
There are numerous topics that can be developed in these expeditions. As each expedition is tailor made to match the aspirations of the group, we work with you to decide which subjects to focus on. Be prepared to learn everything you want about history, art, culture, language, architecture, religion, politics, geology, literature, gastronomy, music, urban & tourism development, education, biodiversity and the ecosystem in either Madagascar, Borneo or Costa Rica.
A Pioneer tailor-made expedition may include trekking, kayaking, village discoveries, community projects and even a day or two relaxing on the beach.
